Robotics + advanced metrology methods
The automotive industry and the broader manufacturing industry demand new technologies for large-FOV and high accuracy 3D part metrology technologies. In this context, we will develop new techniques and a new instrument for 3D dimensional and shape measurement of industrial parts with better performance than present metrology techniques and systems: larger FOV, and higher accuracy for large curvatures or surfaces with significant variations in reflectance.

In-situ 3D optical sensing technologies for AM process
Lack of monitoring of the in situ process signatures is one of the challenges that has been restricting the improvement of Powder-Bed-Fusion Additive Manufacturing (PBF AM).I intend to present the use of vision sensing methods as a non-destructive in situ 3D measurement technique.
